Kat Park is the Strategic Integration and Formulation Lead at the Brinson Exploration Hub at Caltech, where she drives the alignment of mission strategy, concept development, and organizational priorities to advance exploration initiatives.
With over 10 years of experience spanning marketing, media, and theme park design, Kat brings a distinctive background to the space exploration sector with a career shaped by concept development work across a range of creative and strategic contexts. At NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), she contributed to various mission proposal teams across Earth and planetary science, and astrophysics, including SPHEREx, a NASA space telescope mapping the entire sky in infrared to trace the origins of cosmic structure. She served as a core member of the Innovation Foundry's A-Team, JPL's internal concept architecture group designing early-stage mission concepts. Her tenure culminated in the Strategy and Formulation Office, contributing to long-range strategic planning for future exploration missions. Kat brings deep expertise in translating complex scientific and technical goals into actionable frameworks that move exploration forward.
Kat holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts in Interaction Design from New York University.
